iPromise is built around a simple principle: Your focus belongs to you.

We design iPromise to help you stay with your work, not to harvest your data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

a) In-App Data

iPromise does not collect or transmit your personal data to our servers. Focus sessions, activity summaries, and AI guard logic are processed locally on your Mac, or through APIs configured by you.

We do not:

• Collect your browsing history

• Store your documents

• Record your screen content

• Track your keystrokes

• Sell or share your personal data

Your focus sessions remain yours.

​

b) Optional AI Processing

​

If you enable AI Guard:

• Session summaries and activity descriptions may be processed by a third-party AI provider (such as OpenAI or other model providers configured by you).

• We only send the minimal text required to generate summaries or guidance.

• We do not attach your identity, files, or unrelated data.

You control whether AI Guard is enabled.

​

If AI Guard is disabled, focus runs entirely without AI analysis.

c) iCloud Sync (Optional)

​

If enabled, session metadata and feedback preferences may be stored in your personal iCloud account.

This data is:

• Encrypted by Apple

• Accessible only to you

• Not accessible to us

d) Website & Waitlist

​

If you join our TestFlight waitlist:

​

We may collect:

• Email address

• Optional survey responses

​

This information is used only to:

• Send beta invitations

• Improve product direction

​

We do not sell or share this data.

We use limited data only to:

• Generate focus summaries

• Improve focus detection logic

• Respond to user feedback

• Send beta access emails (if requested)

We do not use your data for advertising.

We do not build behavioral profiles.

• In-app data stays on your device.

• Optional AI data is processed transiently by model providers and not stored by us.

• iCloud data is stored under your Apple account.

We do not maintain a centralized database of your focus activity.

You can:

• Disable AI Guard at any time

• Clear local session data

• Delete iCloud sync data

• Leave the TestFlight list

​

We believe focus should feel safe, not monitored.

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the date above.

​

Significant changes will be clearly communicated.
